Guten Tag!

Yesterday, I was reading through a yahoo article on how to save money.  One of the tips was a website that compiles flight prices from a ton of different websites to get you the cheapest price.  I plugged in London, and a bunch of other destinations I wanted to visit.  A lot of them were in the 100 pound range, so I tried something a bit more local: Glasgow, Scotland.

I last visited Glasgow with my dad after we went to a music festival in England, and it was amazing!  This past semester, I took a History of Design course, and one of the main designers we studied was Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

He designed most (if not all) of the building and furniture for the Glasgow School of Art.  Huge!  Awesome!  Crazy!  Plus the surrounding area’s pretty neat.

Flight to Glasgow was about 35 pounds.  Not bad!  This was going to be one of my first (and last) opportunities to travel through Europe before the end of the semester though, so I wanted to try somewhere else.  ANYWHERE!  So I started a new search: London to anywhere.

One of the first ones to pop up was Hamburg, Germany.  Heck yes!  20 POUNDS?!??!  All fees included!  Yes please!  I called up my friend that I was talking about going to Glasgow with, told her about the amazing Germany deal, and we booked it on the spot (we figured worst case, we’re out 20 pounds.  No big deal, I’d take a chance on a deal like that!)

I guess I should start brushing up on my German.
